Positive Mindfulness….. Three things to learn from and appreciate during our COVID-19 isolation

1. We rely on Interdependence: Our reliance to be supported by others becomes undeniable during this time, we are all truly in this together and although we are in isolation we are all depending on each other to get through it. Independence is important, interdependence is imperative!!

2. Our Impermanence: This crisis reminds that we are only on this earth for a short period of time. Although the risk of death from COVID-19 is extremely low let it be powerful in acknowledging our fragility, everyday we should live it to our fullest, we don’t have time to be angry, to create conflict, our have poor interpersonal relationships. Everyday we should be focusing on behaviour that reflects living to our best, living to our
fullest.

3. Being Grateful: Seeing others struggle (with any struggle) reminds us to be thankful for our good fortunes and our good health. Being grateful will help increase the value we have for ourselves and for others. Each day try and speak gratitude to another person, tell them you are grateful for their friendship, for their support, for what ever it is, aim to express gratitude to at least one person every day. Sometimes a simple and grateful Thank You with a smile could be just the thing someone else needs.
