Training V’s Working Out…What is the difference?
There’s a big difference between Working Out and Training. One has a purpose while the other lacks attention towards a purpose.
To Work Out is to exercise without any set and specific objectives and long term performance goals in mind. Training is a purposeful exercise aimed at moving you towards a performance goal or a specific outcome, Training is a planned process to produce a result.
Many people only Work Out, they get to the gym and get some exercise in with no thought or planning into the session, it is showing up and doing something, doing anything. Working Out shows good intention, it shows people are mindful of their health and value the need for exercise. However, without the structure in place or training towards a certain goal or outcome then Working Out is limiting, and the person will never train to their potential.
More than likely their sessions will become the same mindless “go through the motion” activity with the end result being no real results at all.
Training though has a purpose, Training requires the individual to have a planned out session that will purposely move them towards a specific goal or outcome. It will result in a focused and productive training session with the end goal of improvement being the sole focus. Training leads to results. Working Out came become frustrating due to the lack of results.
If you are Working Out it is time to take the step to Training and see the benefits that will then follow.
